IT WAS A SAY HEY TIME FOR ALL IN ATTENDANCE AT THE INTERCOUNTY BASEBALL LEAGUE MAPLE LEAFS ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM TO KICKOFF THEIR 49th SEASON AT CHRISTIE PITS
A supercalifragilisticexpialidocious time was had by one and all at the 2017 Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Forum and Reception held this evening at the Marriott Hotel to inaugurate the team’s forty-ninth season at Christie Pits.
The Forum offered a great opportunity for attendees who were young and old to ask questions to a wide array of former all-star players and hear about their unique experiences in the major leagues. Afterwards, attendees had an opportunity obtain autographs from the all stars in attendance.
The baseball greats in attendance included Ron Cey; George Foster; Ferguson Jenkins; Jim Lonborg and Ernie Whitt.
Jack Dominico, the owner of the Intercounty Baseball League Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club, has been one of the most avid supporters of the Toronto Playgrounds House League Baseball program through the years.
A total of thirteen guests from Toronto Playgrounds Baseball were in attendance for the Maple Leafs forum and reception, including six members of the TP Baseball House League Baseball Committee (Chief Coordinator Steve Smith; President Bill Evans; Treasurer Paul Bagnell; and Committee Members Paul Hum, Jeff Kolyn and Reagan Maude). In addition, TP House League Baseball Umpire Emeritus Mike Zimmerman graced our table with his presence.
And when all was said and done, everyone from TP had a grand old time!
