TAKING NO PRISONERS, THE BLACK BURY TORONTO PLAYGROUNDS AT RAVINA GARDENS
Under a ceiling of cool Victoria Day skies, the Annette Black defeated the Toronto Playgrounds Minor Mosquito Selects 25-2 in four innings of Etobicoke Baseball Association (EBA) Select action this afternoon at Ravina Gardens.
Here is a brief summary of the proceedings courtesy of Jason Koskela and Vincent Lynch:
- TP fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 25-2 loss to Annette.
- After taking an early lead in the first, Annette buried TP with a sixteen run barrage in the bottom of the second. The big inning for the Black was highlighted by a triple by Adam and a home run by Max.
- Annette collected a grand total of seventeen hits versus TP. Russell, Cam, Sammy, Zack, Josh, and Riley each collected multiple hits for the Black.
- Despite the lopsided loss, TP showed grit and determination against very good Annette team.
- Desmond had an RBI single and Marshall an RBI walk for TP.
- TP pitcher Sam was a stabilizing force on the mound. Sam tossed two shutout innings against the Black, with two strikeouts and no walks.
- The TP Minor Mosquito Selects take a break from the EBA Select circuit when they participate the Richmond Hill tournament this weekend (May 26-28).
