With the completion of our last “September Madness’ tournament game tonight, the 2017 Toronto Playgrounds House League Baseball Season officially comes to a close.

If you include the 84 games that were played during our end of the season tournament over the past eleven days, we have played a combined grand total of 775 house league baseball games this season in our respective Tee Ball, Rookie Ball, Mosquito, Peewee and Bantam age divisions. That’s not too shabby!

It’s also been a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious year for us with regards to the growth of the House League baseball program with over 1100 players registered in our program. .

The TP House League Baseball Committee would like to thank all the parents and players who registered with our program this season. We’re glad that you came along for the ride and we sincerely hope that you had a fun and rewarding experience on the field of dreams.

Our sincerest thanks also go out to the numerous volunteers who stepped up to the plate during the 2017 season to coach, umpire, scorekeep, move equipment, distribute uniforms, barbecue, etc. The TP Baseball Program would not be the stellar jewel that it is in the community without the love and assistance of those who live within it.

The TP Baseball Website would like to thank all the coaches and parents who took the extra time to email, text, and send in pictures and reports from their games during the course of a long season. Your contribution was sincerely valued by the Committee as it allowed us to enrich the content and the overall experience of the website and Twitter feed enormously.

As we head into the off-season, Parents, Players and interested registrants are advised to check back for updates and information concerning the following:

  • The annual Distance for Derby Event to fundraise our initiative to install lighting standards at Christie Pits Diamond 3.
  • Fall workout/tryout sessions to gauge interest in our 2018 TP Select Baseball program.
  • Fall 2017/Winter 2018 TP Baseball Academy Indoor Skills Training Sessions.
  • Information on how to purchase our fab lookin’ TP Baseball Hoodies and Toques to finance the Lights On 3 initiative.
  • 2018 TP House League Baseball Registrations.

‘September Madness’ is over. We hope to see you all back in 2018 for another great season of TP Baseball.
