The nicely chalked TP Rookie Ball Select batting circle is ready to go for the Lloyd McConnie Memorial Rookie Ball Tournament Championship Game at Etobicoke Valley Park Diamond 2.

Beneath a blue duvet of  warm summer skies, the Toronto Playgrounds Rookie Ball Selects defeated the Brampton Royals 13-4 in a Lloyd McConnie Memorial Rookie Ball Tournament Semi-Final game this afternoon at Etobicoke Valley Park Diamond 3 to punch a ticket into the championship round.

TP [4-0] (winner of the David Lauzon Division) will face Erindale [4-0] (winner of  the Lloyd McConnie Division) in a 4:00 p.m. championship game showdown for all the marbles at Diamond 2.

Early this morning, TP defeated the Guelph Royals 28-5 at Etobicoke Valley Park Diamond 2 to earn their third round robin victory at the Lloyd McConnie Memorial Rookie Ball Tourney.

TP opened the Lloyd McConnie tourney yesterday morning with a convincing 17-2 victory over the Royal York Red Cardinals to earn their first round robin victory.

With the wind in their sails, TP capped off their Saturday with a dominating 29-0 win over the North Toronto Minor A’s to capture their second win.
