FINISHING THE TOURNEY UNDEFEATED WITH A PERFECT 6-0 RECORD, TORONTO PLAYGROUNDS TAKES HOME THE CHAMPIONSHIP PRIZE AT THE MEADOWVALE SPORTS PARK

Beneath a warm and hazy blanket of succulent summer skies, the Toronto Playgrounds 12U ‘AA’ Reps defeated Markham 17-7 in five innings this afternoon at Meadowvale Sports Park North Diamond 2 to win the 2022 Mississauga North Baseball Association (MNBA) 12U Rep Tournament Championship Game.
With the championship victory, TP 12U Rep finished the tourney with a sparkling undefeated 6-0 record.
Toronto Playgrounds began its journey at the tourney on Friday night with a take no prisoners 10-0 win over Mississauga Southwest in a six inning affair at Meadowvale North Diamond 2 to earn their first round robin game victory.
After a good night’s rest, TP 12U Rep put the pedal to the metal on Saturday morning as they defeated Halton Hills 19-1 in a three inning game at Meadowvale North Diamond 2 to tally their second round robin game win.
Later on Saturday afternoon, Toronto Playgrounds rolled to 19-4 four inning victory over Ajax at River Grove Park Diamond 3. With their third round robin game win, TP 12U Rep had punched their ticket into Sunday’s MNBA tourney playoff elimination round.
Early this morning, TP won their MNBA 12U Rep Tournament Quarter-Final elimination game with a dominating 23-8 victory over Ancaster in a six inning proceeding at Meadowvale North Diamond 2 that allowed them to advance to the semi-final round.
In a tooth and nail contest earlier this afternoon, Toronto Playgrounds prevailed 18-12 over the Royal York Cardinals in a six inning MNBA 12U Rep Tournament Semi-Final elimination game at Meadowvale Park North Diamond 3 that allowed TP to reach the championship round.
