TPBA 12U ‘AA’ REP COACH MARCO BIANCHI, ALONG WITH FOURTEEN OTHER DISTINGUISHED COACHES FROM ACROSS THE PROVINCE, RECEIVED THEIR WELL DESERVED ONTARIO COACHING EXCELLENCE (OCE) AWARDS FROM THE COACHES ASSOCIATION OF ONTARIO (CAOO)
The Coaches Association of Ontario (CAOO) has named Toronto Playgrounds Baseball Association (TPBA) 12U ‘AA’ Rep Coach Marco Bianchi as a recipient of the their 2024 Ontario Coaching Excellence (OCE) Award.
Bianchi, along with fourteen other distinguished coaches from across the province, received their awards at the 2024 OCE Awards Ceremony held at the Rogers Centre on September 14.
The goal of the OCE Awards is to celebrate the dedication and commitment of exemplary individuals who inspire, innovate and share their knowledge of sport with others. Presented annually since its inception in 2003, over 160 Ontario coaches from over 80 communities representing more than 60 sports have received this prestigious honour to date.
The CAOO issued the following statement regarding Bianchi’s OCE Award:
“Coach Marco embodies patience, kindness, and a wealth of knowledge. For the past twelve seasons, he has dedicated himself as TPBA volunteer coach and mentor to everyone he works with. His primary goal each season is simple: improvement, focusing on personal growth, baseball skills, and team chemistry.”
“Marco’s teams are consistently successful, often clinching the Toronto Baseball Association (TBA) championship. and most recently securing a third place finish at the 11U ‘A’ provincial playoffs.”
“Recognized as Baseball Ontario Coach of the Year in both 2019 and 2022, Marco is celebrated not only for his coaching acumen, but the remarkable impact on his players development, both on and off the field, demonstrating that he was truly born to coach baseball.”
As a reward, the fifteen recipients of the 2024 OCE Awards received a VIP Toronto Blue Jays experience during Saturday’s OCE Awards ceremony at the Rogers Centre.
In addition, all the winning coaches will be awarded a $500 prize reimbursement to be used on purchases they make for their team, club or organization, from local Ontario and Canadian businesses, proudly provided by Hydro One Inc.
The OCE Award is the third award that Bianchi has received as a long time TPBA volunteer coach.
