MOSQUITO > Angels and Lizzies Battle to a 4-4 Draw

THE DIVINE ANGELS AND GO GO LIZZIES PLAY TO A HARD FOUGHT TIE IN THEIR MOSQUITO DIVISION SEASON OPENER AT CHRISTIE PITS

Game Post composed with files from Aaron Law and Devon Forbes.

Beneath the incandescent lights on a cool Spring night, the Angels and Lizzies played to a 4-4 draw in four innings of nightcap Mosquito Division play at Christie Pits Diamond 2.

Here are the Angels highlights:

  • The Angels player of the game was Sara (7), who pitched a shut out inning, got two singles and scored a run (or two).
  • The Angels pitching roster is looking good as each of the four innings had a different pitcher – Sara, Max, Maggie, and Cooper – each getting strike outs and being stingy with hits and walks.
  • The Angels are an enthusiastic baseball squad with a good mix of talent and determination. Watch for some good results as the players hone their skills through the season.
  • A great first outing for both teams.

And here are the Lizzies highlights:

  • The Lizzies started its 2015 season with starter Felix (3) pitching the first inning. After few batters, Felix found the groove was able to settle right in.
  • Lizzies reliever Jamie (15) and Shamus (9) followed suit with three strong innings (two innings and one inning respectively) to hold the Angels at bay as the Lizzies made their comeback.
  • Down by four runs after two innings, the Lizzies bats came to life as they scored four runs to tie the game.
  • The Go Go Lizzies comeback was highlighted by Jamie’s (15) triple and Dajuan’s RBI single.
