MOSQUITO > Dodgers Edge Cardinals 14-13

IN A FOUR ALARM BARNBURNER, THE ARTFUL DODGERS STEALTHILY SLIP BY THE RED BIRDS AT CHRISTIE PITS

Beneath a curtain of sunny and warm skies, the Dodgers edged the Cardinals 14-13 in four firewagon innings of Mosquito Division action this evening at Christie Pits Diamond 3.

Here is a Dodgers synopsis of the proceedings:

DODGERS GAME SUMMARY by Diane McCallum.

The Dodgers and Cardinals game on Thursday night was an exciting game during a wonderful spring evening.

The Dodgers’ players have really developed their skills! The game was full of great pitching, fielding, hitting and base running.

Our pitching was led by Harris for two innings. Dodgers pitchers have really increased their accuracy and variation of pitches: Sliders, change-ups, and fast balls!

Fielding, hitting, and base running have come along as well.  All of the Artful Dodgers have a keen eye at the plate, as was seen with Avi, Alejandro, Angelina, Cooper, and Devin, with Taras and Lachlin hitting triples!  Charlie hit a triple for 3 RBIs.

All of the Dodgers’ players were happy to welcome the newest Dodger, PJ, who was a strong presence in right field during the last inning.

The final score was 14-13 for the Dodgers. The fans left saying that they couldn’t wait until the next TP Mosquito game!
