GNARLY BUCCANEERS ADVANCE TO MOSQUITO SEMI-FINAL SCALLYWAG AGAINST THE ARTFUL DODGERS
Flynn (11) delivered the Pirates game winning run over the Giants in the fourth inning when she stroked a fielder’s choice hit that allowed Daniel to scurry home from third base.
Beneath the quaint skies of Diamond 3 Bay this evening, the swashbuckling Pirates edged the mighty Giants 7-6 in five seafaring quarter-final innings to advance to a Mosquito Division Semi-Final scallywag against the artful Dodgers at Christie Pits.
With the score tied 6-6, Flynn (11) delivered a clutch fielder’s choice RBI hit in the top of the fourth that allowed Daniel (3) to scoot home from third base with the Bucs winning run.
The Pirates (5) advance to a Mosquito Semi-Final showdown against the Dodgers (1) tomorrow evening (Tuesday, September 11) at Christie Pits Diamond 2 at 5:45 p.m.
