Under serene summer skies this evening at Christie Pits Diamond 3, two traditional Rookie Ball Monday Division rivals battled tooth and nail in a cat stratched fever showdown.

For three ferocious innings, the Jaguars and Panthers squared off for bragging rights on the field of play.

Leading the Jaguars offensive thrust were Ali (13), Eli (4), Izzy (12) and Rafi (2).

Propelling the Panthers offensive machine were Georgia (7), Kaenoa (4), Malcolm (5) and Pipard (15).

The hits and runs generated by both squads were coming fast and furious throughout the entire game and brought the appreciative fans in attendance to their feet in a rapturous celebration.

And when the dust had finally settled on the basepaths, TP Umpire Joel Scott announced that the Jaguars and Panthers had played to a tie.

A fitting conclusion to a well played game by both teams and where a splendid time was had by all.
