Lizzies pitcher Reid (8) tossed two scoreless innings against the White Sox in leading them to an 11-5 victory at Dominico Field at Christie Pits.

Beneath the lights this evening at Dominico Field at Christie Pits, the Lizzies defeated the White Sox 11-5 in 4 ½ innings of Bantam Division round robin tournament play

White Sox pitcher Jack (1) threw two solid innings against the Lizzies where he allowed no earned runs.

Making the most of their opportunities, the Lizzies prevailed over the White Sox to win their opening round robin game of the tourney.

It was the bottom of the Lizzies batting order that led the charge. Huge contributions from Baxter, Natan (10) and Wyeth (5) ignited the Lizzies offensive thrust.

The Lizzies also received a strong effort from Reid (8), who pitched two scoreless innings. Victor (7) closed out the victory with a scoreless fifth.

The player of the game for the White Sox was Jack (1), who pitched two solid innings against the Lizzies where he allowed no earned runs.

The Lizzies (1-0) will face the Expos (0-0) in their next round robin game on Wednesday, September 4 at Dominico Field at 6:30 p.m. The White Sox (0-1) will host the A’s (0-0) at Dominico Field on Thursday, September 5 at 6:30 p.m.
