After twelve weeks of intensive winter indoor practices in the gymnasium at Harbord Collegiate Institute, our Toronto Playgrounds Mosquito Select Team finally had the opportunity to hold their first outdoor practice of the 2014 season at Christie Pits Diamond 2 this afternoon.

Taking advantage of some gorgeous Spring weather on Saturday, TP Mosquito Select Head Coach Bill Evans and his assistant coaches (John Hill, John Rowe and Darin Luscher) led their team through a series of rigorous drills and workouts in preparation for the long season ahead.

With the Mosquito Select regular season scheduled to begin on May 4, Mosquito Select Manager Evans was excited about his team’s chances in 2014 in a post practice media scrum.

“It was so nice to be outside and see our winter in the gym pay off. The boys already look like a team.”
