Beneath warm and tranquil skies, our Toronto Playgrounds Major Peewee Selects defeated the Royal York (2) Cardinals 11-4 in four innings of Etobicoke Baseball Association (EBA) action this evening at the Queensway Park South Diamond.

  • TP jumped our to an early 6-0 lead in the top of the first.
  • Cam (77) laid down a perfect bunt and stole home during the first inning.
  • Jack H. (27) delivered a clutch RBI single to power the Major Peewee offensive assault in the first.
  • TP starter Max (17) pitched a strong inning where he allowed only two Cardinals runs.
  • Major Peewee catcher Sasha (28) threw out a Cardinal attempting stealing second.
  • Toronto Playgrounds added four runs in the top of the second to widen their lead to 10-2.
  • Zack (32) crunched a 2 RBI double and Jack H. powered a RBI double to ignite the TP offense in the second.
  • Major Peewee starter Max threw a scoreless bottom of the second.
  • TP catcher Sasha gunned down a Cardinal trying to steal second.
  • The Major Peewees added an insurance run in the top of the third to stretch their advantage to 11-2.
  • TP reliever Arlo (7) pitched a tidy bottom of the third where he allowed one Cardinals run.
  • Major Peewee reliever Jack K. (13) allowed one run while mowing down a Cardinal in the bottom of the fourth to close out the win.
