THE WHITE SOX PREVAIL OVER TORONTO PLAYGROUNDS FOR THE VICTORY AT RICHVIEW PARK

Under a blanket of dark clouds and overcast skies, the Martingrove White Sox defeated our Toronto Playgrounds Major Peewee Selects 7-2 in four innings of Etobicoke Baseball Association (EBA) Select action this evening at Richview Park.
Here are some highlights:
- Martingrove jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first.
- TP starter Owen (5) strikes out one in the second inning to keep the White Sox off the scoresheet.
- Adam (18) delivers a 2 RBI double in the top of the third to trim the deficit to one.
- The White Sox answer with three in the bottom of the third to widen their lead to 6-3.
- TP reliever Cam (77) limits Martingrove to a run in the bottom of the fourth.
- With five minutes left, the game was called early due to rain.
After forty-eight days on the road, the Major Peewee Selects (7-5) return to friendly confines of Christie Pits Diamond 2 tomorrow evening (Wednesday, July 30) to play host to the Weston Wolverines at 7:00 p.m.
