It was an entertaining Peewee Division game that ended with the Jays winning 10-8 over the Royals after three innings at Christie Pits Diamond 2.

The Jays really won the game in the first inning after an amazing pitching performance by Ben (11). Ben struck out all three batters he faced to keep the potent Royals offense off the scoreboard.

Then, in the bottom of the first, the Jays offence notched up four runs to take a 4-0 lead and give the Blue Birds the cushion they carried for the rest of the game.

In the first, Jackson (14) had two singles, with his second giving him an RBI. Christian (10) also had an RBI single.

In the second inning, the Royals offence woke up and scored four runs to tie the game 4-4.

But the Jays rallied for three of their own to take the lead 7-4. Jackson and Christian again led the way with respective RBI singles.

In the third, the Royals, who never quit, scored another four runs to take an 8-7 lead.

There was an amazing defensive play by the Jays as left fielder Curtis (4) threw a rocket from the outfield right on target to catcher Adam (8) to get a Royals’ baserunner out at home.

However, the never say die Jays offense didn’t stop rallied for the win in the bottom of the third inning. This time, the Blue Birds offense was led by the bats of Curtis [who had a great hit, but the Royals defense was able to keep it to just a single] and Oliver (12) who sealed the victory with an RBI single.

Another great game on a beautiful night for baseball.
