September Madness is upon us.

The annual Toronto Playgrounds House League Baseball Tournament to wrap up the 2014 season begins on Tuesday, September 2 for the teams in our Mosquito, Peewee, Bantam and Midget divisions.

Upwards of forty-nine tournament games across four age divisions have been scheduled over the course of eight days (weather permitting, of course).

The sheer amount of baseball games slated to be played is baseball lover’s delight. It’s a virtual cornucopia of baseball from dawn to dusk. It’s no wonder that we fondly refer to our tournament as ‘September Madness’.

Here are the TP House League Baseball Tournament Schedules in PDF format:

Players, Parents and Coaches are strongly advised to check your tournament schedule carefully for the dates and times of your team’s games. It is very important that we start all games at the start time listed on the schedule…please try to be at the diamond at least 15 minutes before the start time to give the coaches a chance to get the line ups organized.

Also, it is really important, given that the sun sets earlier and diamond 3 has no lights, and that we have a second game scheduled on diamond 2 each night, that players and coaches are ready to go at the time indicated on the schedule. Games scheduled for 5:45 p.m. will have to start at 5:45 p.m. regardless of how many players are present.

A posting containing the TP Tournament Rules will be released tomorrow. Parents, Players and Coaches are advised to read the document so everyone is cognizant of the rules governing ‘September Madness’.
