BANTAM > Expos Centennial A’s 9-5

CAPITALIZING ON THEIR OPPORTUNITIES, THE EXPOS TAME THE ATHLETICS TO EARN THE SWEET DELECTABLE VICTORY AT CHRISTIE PITS

Game Post composed with file from Paul Kelly.

Beneath mild summeresque skies, the Expos defeated the A’s 9-5 in three innings of Bantam Division action this evening at Dominico Field at Christie Pits.

Here are the A’s highlights:

  • The A’s had the lead after one inning when A’s starter Jack (8) held the Expos to one run.
  • The A’s defence broke down in the second and allowed the Expos to score four.
  • Sam (15) got a double, a single and a walk to spark the A’s offensive attack.
  • Along with a porous defence, injuries also wreaked havoc in the A’s effort: Evan (10) and Jerome (3) couldn’t pitch due to sore backs. And Lily (9) got hit on the hand by a pitch.
