THE INTERCOUNTY BASEBALL LEAGUE MAPLE LEAFS WILL BE HOLDING A SERIES OF WEEKLY BASEBALL CAMPS DURING THE SUMMER AT DOMINICO FIELD AT CHRISTIE PITS

302122_raw-002The Toronto Playgrounds Baseball Committee would like to inform players and parents in our baseball program that the Intercounty Baseball League Toronto Maple Leafs will be holding their 2015 Baseball Camps again this summer at Christie Pits.

The camps will feature current players from the Toronto Maple Leaf Baseball Club as the instructors. In the past, participants from our league have provided great feedback regarding their experience at the camp.

This camp will cover the basic aspects of baseball including stretching, throwing, hitting, baserunning, and fielding.  The week long camp will include group instruction and stations on each fundamental part of the game taught by former professional baseball players as well as current professional Maple Leaf players.

Here are the 2015 Toronto Maple Leaf Baseball Camp dates:

  • June 29 – July 3*
  • July 6-10
  • July 13-17
  • July 20-24
  • July 27 – July 31
  • August 4-7*
  • August 10 – 14

* Please be advised there will be no camp on Wednesday, July 1 (Canada Day) & Monday August 3 (Civic Holiday).

Here is the camp schedule:

  • 9:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m.: Stretching and Throwing
  • 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.: Station Instruction (Infield, Outfield, Pitching and Hitting)
  • 12:00 noon-12:45 p.m.: Lunch (Only provided on Pizza Fridays)
  • 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.: Game Situations

Camp will conclude at the end of the week with a live game played among the campers based on age and talent level.

Alternative plans will be made in the case of rain.

The cost of the week long baseball camp is: $175.00 (including HST) per player.

The Maple Leafs are also offering an After Hours Baseball Camp this summer from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. for $75.00 per week.
