MOSQUITO > White Sox Crew Cut Mariners 9-3

TAKING NO PRISONERS, THE WHITE SOX BATTEN DOWN THE M’s FOR THE VICTORY AT CHRISTIE PITS

Under a canopy of warm and overcast skies, the White Sox defeated the Mariners 9-3 in four innings of Mosquito Division action this evening at Christie Pits Diamond 3.

Here are the highlights:

  • White Sox pitchers Solly (14), Cooper (3), Kingsley (1) and Eli D. (4) combined to limit the potent Mariners offense to only three runs over four innings.
  • Despite good pitching efforts from Mariner pitchers Liam M. (9), Joaquin (6), Coleman (13) and Jude (3), the M’s just couldn’t get the bats going this evening against the Sox. Liam and Jude were the only Mariners who collected a hit.
  • The Mariners caught an eager White Sox player in a rundown on his brazen attempt to steal home. Solly was caught in no man’s land between Mariners catcher Coleman and third baseman (and Rookie Ball call up) Jordan. Jordan eventually tagged out his brother, Solly.
