FOLLOWING A TAKE NO PRISONERS CHAMPIONSHIP RUN AT THE 2022 ETOBICOKE BASEBALL ASSOCIATION (EBA) FINALS, THE TPBA 11U BLUE SELECT TEAM CAPPED OFF THEIR MAGICAL SEASON WITH CHAMPIONSHIP GLORY AT THE 2022 PROVINCIALS, TO BECOME THE FIRST TPBA COMPETITIVE TEAM FROM CHRISTIE PITS TO EARN AN ONTARIO PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP

In its annual awards ceremony held this past weekend, Baseball Ontario named the Toronto Playgrounds Baseball Association (TPBA) 11U Blue Selects as the recipients of the 2022 Baseball Ontario Select Division Team of the Year Award.
The TPBA 11U Blue Selects finished the 2022 Etobicoke Baseball Association (EBA) 11U Select regular season campaign with a stellar 11-1 record. They capped it off with a five game sweep at the 2022 EBA 11U Select Championship Tournament in August.
With the wind in their sails, the TPBA 11U Blue Selects swept away all comers during the Labour Day long weekend at that the 2022 Provincial Championships in Clarington, Ontario. Finishing with an unblemished 5-0 record, the TPBA 11U Blue Selects made history by becoming the first TPBA competitive team from Christie Pits to win a coveted Provincial championship.
Away from the EBA circuit, the 11U Blue also had a fun and enriching experience participating at three tournaments during the 2022 season. The TP 11U Blue finished as the finalists at the Btampton Tournament in early June. In late June, the TP 11U Blue Selects won the championship at the Brantford Tournament. And in late July, TP 11U Blue were the finalists at the Orillia Tournament.
The TP 11U Blue’s overall record for the 2022 season was 34-4, including tournaments and exhibition games.
